No. It’s not a remake of an old folk song. It seems to be the focus of renewable energy in America. But, while wind energy is destined to play a significant part in green renewable energy in America, there is only so much it can do. Electricity supply cannot be as capricious as the wind.
Wind plays a role in providing a source of clean, low fuel cost electrical energy. But, it needs a “base load” component that it can add onto.
Biomass fueled power is making clear, significant strides to become part of that base load source. Small distributed generation plants that are fueled by green biomass sources have an important future in America’s energy industry. Let Rudd Asset Management show you how it can work for you.

It’s true! Let’s face it! Denial only goes so far. This is especially becoming apparent in the electrical power markets in the United States.
The use of cogeneration plant design in the range of 10 – 20 MWe makes a lot of sense, dollars and cents! Generation can be built closer to the customer. Green renewable fuels can be used to provide cleaner power. Efficiencies can be higher. Equipment costs can be lower. Construction costs can be lower. Power can be located on the customer’s site or near by, eliminating the need for costly and expensive transmission costs.
Is the day of the large fossil fueled plant over? Of course not! But, strategic use of combined heat and power small generation can make the electric system even better! Contact Rudd Asset Management to discuss if it might work for you.

The last few years has seen an explosive growth in ethanol development. But, despite all the potential and promise, oil has seen record prices and seemed poised to continue, so much for ethanol providing an “alternative”. In its current technology form, ethanol just doesn’t make sense, certainly not “dollars and cents”.
Will ethanol go away? Probably not. But, it will not continue in its present form. The Brazilians seem to have a head start using sugar cane and developed techniques, yet to be applied in the USA. But, change will occur in the ethanol business. Perhaps ethanol will eventually live up to its potential. But, not now.
Over the next year or two, as the expansion of ethanol slows, fuel prices will likely come back down to earth. That provides hope that corn products, cane products and the like can be developed in other biomass fuel applications for green fuels or green renewable electric power. There might be greener pastures after all.
